Israeli Companies Hire 2,000+ from Technion in One Day

A total of 51 leading companies - including Intel, Microsoft, Elbit Systems and General Electric - hired more than 2,000 new, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology-educated employees during a job fair held January 9th at the university.

"These results show the need for scientists and engineers, as well as the esteem in which Technion graduates and students are held by the country's leading companies," said Technion Dean of Students Professor Shimon Haber.

 

 

 

 The role played by the Technion in Israel's economic development is well documented by statistics that include:

* 30 of Israel's 100 largest companies are managed by Technion graduates
* 75% of Israel's engineers were educated at the Technion
* 1/3 of Israeli high-tech companies on the NASDAQ are led by Technion grads

The Technion-Israel Institute of Technology is Israel's leading science and technology university.
